I look down and see,
The chaos of my path
The unknowns and questions
A world swarmed with doubt.
But you called my name
”Julia my daughter, look up.”
So I turn and look,
The vast sky stretches,
With the sun touching it with color,
It bursts like watercolor
Birds fly in the air, whispering a melody,
The air fresh with a sweet song
In the vastness, there is a peace
Trees and hills stretch in the horizon
Glimmering with light, holding warmth.
It feels like home. I am home.
I see the vastness of the Lord,
His plans, His desires, His purpose
Singing over me, painted like a picture.
Look up.
My own steps, messy
Bur you lead me in a dance, a journey.
Yes, He is our creator and ultimately he makes a place for us – a home (John 14:3 “ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”)
I love the fact that you are taking up the tool of poetry to express what God is showing you, Julia!
Lovely Julia. Love you! Grandma C
